Anton Corbjin once wrote: "I really like Depeche Mode. I guess!" which was introducing his famous and rare book entitled "Strangers", not printed anymore. I could easily have written, this exact sentence, myself. Lyrics have always been important to me, somewhow because whenever they are making sense to me, they are making this whole life a bit more comprehensible. "Hey, someone else share this feeling, TOO !". Depeche Mode has always been a band connected to its audience and I think, it has alot to do with Martin L. Gore's lyrics.
When you are a teenager, growing up is a difficult and hard process, earing songs and music, lyrics that are close to how you feel makes it alot easier. When I was a teenager, I was listening to Depeche Mode, I'm not a teenager anymore, but even today, I often feel really close to Depeche Mode's Lyrics.
